Watermelon

One of natures great foods....

In the video below we see many animals all loving this great vitamin, mineral and water rich food. Enjoy : )

I would like to share some thoughts on food and water..

Fruit is very important for a healthy body and mind, as fruit contains 'structured water' wrapped in high quality natural multi vitamins and minerals which we simply cannot get from a multi-vitamin tablet; also fresh 'uncooked' (not from a tin) fruit contains enzymes which help us digest and assimilate with the food we eat.

However, bread, cake, cooked foods, canned foods, packet cereals, crisps and a host of other unnatural processed ingredients, preservatives, sweeteners, refined sugar and 'e' numbers are quite harmful to us, because human bodies did not evolve to consume or to even come into contact with such things.

Our ancestors evolved to consume natural organic fresh food, through billions of years of evolution, since the earliest single cell organism; there were never synthetic herbicides, pesticides, chemicals, tinned or cellophane wrapped products, even a few hundred years ago, it was always fresh from a tree or the soil, which would give plenty of vitamin b12, a very important vitamin. Incidentally, no matter which diet we choose, be it Vegan or omnivorous, we all need to supplement Vitamin b12. Methylcobalamin b12 dissolved under the tongue, which costs a bit more and is better for us than cyanocobalamin b12. So do check the labels! A few more great ideas: Add a spoon of crushed/cracked flax seed to salads for omega 3. Take a high quality Vitamin 'D3' for winter. Make sure you have enough Iodine, buy a high quality Nascent Iodine if you can afford it to help protect your thyroid.

On a most basic level, to be healthy, to free yourself from the dangers of this modern world and health issues, such as obesity, cancer and diabetes, feed your body what it needs, to do this? = Eat as much fresh organic fruits and vegetables as you can: blueberries, strawberries, apples, bananas, grapes, bell peppers, lettuce, mango, cucumber, flax seeds,'soaked' almonds, dates, figs, papaya, avocado (amazing for salads)...there are so many wonderful fresh Mother nature foods to be enjoyed.

To go further, maybe try also making your own fruit drinks from real fresh fruit, simply a squeeze of real lemon or lime in water is far more healthy than lemonade from a plastic bottle, which contains far too much refined sugar and chemicals that eventually will cause so many health issues. Filtering water is a great step forward (as our tap water contains many chemicals). Also be very careful of cosmetics, because our skin absorbs chemicals into our bloodstream, so buy as natural as possible. If you cannot pronounce and/or are unable to find a positive google search result on all the ingredients contained within a product, it is likely harmful. However, if you look healthy from eating well, and get 15 minutes of sun each day, from being outside, cosmetics are not necessary, because you will 'glow' with 'health' and 'youth'. To wash hair and skin, liquid Castile soap is a good choice, as it contains no synthetic chemicals. I get mine off ebay quite cheaply, it can be diluted and lasts a long time. I even wash my dishes with it, it's Great : P

I do want to stay positive in this message and although this paragraph is more deep, it is 'very' important and can do allot of good, so I do hope to share. My Father smoked cigarettes in the house for many years, it made me and my brother very ill with asthma, but eventually he started smoking outside the car and house! This was the most important thing he could ever do for our family and his own health! Passive smoking is not just dangerous, it is very 'damaging', no matter which room I ran too, away from the visible smoky air, the invisible odourless toxic gas fumes, 90 percent of which comes off the cigarette that we cannot even sense, would engulf the entire house. It was difficult to understand at a young age, but basically he did not consider passive smoking to be an issue for the people around him until the government started informing us. It took allot of effort and nagging and refusal of hugs, when the house smelled, but he did finally keep his promises and gave up. The best thing he ever did. Now it is illegal to smoke in pubs, restaurants, buses, taxis and so on. It was 'the' greatest public health achievement of the 21st century to ban smoking in public places in the UK and it still is. I had to type this, because it is so important we do all we can to prevent the inhalation of such terrible toxic fumes. I know allot about smoking. My entire family has been effected by smoking. I am very passionate about clean air. I hope, dear reader, you never take a single 'drag' on a 'cigy', because that is all it takes for the nicotine to 'force' you 'every day' to keep smoking, else you will feel very ill and desperate for a breath of nicotine which temporarily takes that feeling away; that is the addiction. So you see, smoking does not make you feel good; it really is best to never start the habit, as one 'drag' is all it takes, so please do not even risk it.

Now lets get back to some positive addictions...

There are so many things we can do to better our health, the greatest step forward is to simply eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, it is the best step you can take to help you live with a glow into your 70's, 80's, and who knows...maybe even past the '100' mark and still be able to ride a bicycle or get on a train to go to town with, perhaps, many happy great, great grand children at your side?! Wow, what a goal to aim for: to have a spring in your step and a warm happy smile with great health in later years. :)

Exercise is also very important to keep your system flowing, to push fresh oxygen, minerals and vitamins deep into every organ, muscle and cell in the body. It is important to find a few things you can enjoy, so each day you can do at least 20 mins, to get your heart pumping and increase the rate of breath. Usually it is best to exercise before a meal, that way your tummy is not full and you have a meal to look forward too, for afterwards, so to build up an appetite. I like to cycle to the shops to get my food each day. By the time I get home I am ready for a good meal. Low impact exercise is very good, swimming, cycling, roller booting, walking, aerobics and even trampolining is a great exercise. If you jog or run, be sure to have a good pair of trainers, with an air sole to cushion the impacts.

I tend to think to myself: "Is what I am about to buy or consume really 'natural'?". I sometimes notice packets of food which say “natural“, but on close inspection the item is 'not' organic and/or has been heat treated! “Natural” is sometimes a way for the manufacturer to sell more products, a marketing ploy. However, “Organic “ is a much better label to look out for; but it is more costly: $,£.

To make life easier, I take fruit with me when I go out on a long journey, so I do not feel the need to buy fast 'junk' food along the way. I also take a bottle of home filtered water, with timy amount of fresh lemon or lime or even herbal tea. haha, I sound like a hippy, but it's really easy to make healthier and saves money too : ) (btw clipper and pukka teas are great)

Another idea is to set up a youtube account and subscribe to lots of 'health' channels; then every day notifications are sent to your email inbox for new uploaded videos, which will inspire you to watch a few each day; and before you know it, you will be an expert in health within a year or so. If you inspire your friends to do the same, you can then share knowledge and even some recipes or ingredients, like I just shared the watermelons video : ) Incidentally, to digest a water mellon, it is best to eat either at breakfast time on an empty tummy or at least 30mins before dinner, never after a meal, eating water melon alone by itself is more potent, this is known as a mono-meal. (it's worth a google on 'mono meals' and 'food combining').

To be 'healthy' is likely the best 'hobby' you can ever have; a hobby to look after yourself and others too, as our health is the foundation for everything we do.

These are just a few ideas to help you feel young and happy in your youth now, and to carry your health and happiness into later life. Being healthy makes our friends, family and even our pets happy too, because everyone needs everybody to be healthy, to be truly happy.

Don't forget, if you cannot find a rainbow in the sky..there will always be one here for you at indiasrainbow.com

lots of love : )

Juicing fruits and vegetables...

Here below is Jay Kordich, born 26th August 1923. He had cancer in 1948, and found fruits and vegetables as his medicine. Since then he has been known as the "Juice Man", as he inspires people to juice living foods, so to extract as much nutrition as possible. I don't mean juicing 'living animals', of course, I mean juicing 'living fruits and vegetables' with no cooking or heating; just fresh living plant based juice recipes. Here are a few clips below with Jay still teaching with passion in his young age : )

The difference between a Slow juicer(masticating) & high speed fast juicer(centrifugal).

The slow juicer acts like our teeth, slowly crushing so to release the juice without oxegenating it. However, the fast juicer cuts, shreds and crushes so fast that it mixes in lots of air which quickly oxygenates the food and speeds up the decay of the nutrients.
